WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LASER AND SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL?
Laser tattoo removal works by emitting intense pulses/beam of monochromatic light. When we see color, we are really seeing certain wavelengths of light bouncing off the surface of an object. The rest of the wavelengths are absorbed by the object. So, each color of your tattoo will need to be targeted with the correct wavelength of laser to penetrate and break up that particular color of pigment and push it back into your body. Over time, your body’s immune system will absorb the pigment and you will see the lightened tattoo. Our state-of-the-art laser machine will effectively remove unwanted ink from the brow area and will only require 1 or 2 sessions.
Saline Tattoo Removal/Lightening is a specialized, all-natural saline solution. The high concentration of salt water (medical-grade saline solution) is implanted over your existing permanent makeup into the dermis and triggers the Osmosis process. This forces the pigment from the dermal layer up to the epidermis, causing the pigment to slowly pull to the surface of the skin and heals into a scab. When the scab falls off, that pigment falls off with it, leaving a lightened tattoo. This tattoo removal technique is more natural and gentler to the skin, but may require multiple sessions. Complete removal of the tattoo is not always guaranteed.
To summarize, when a laser is used for removal, all of the removed ink is absorbed into the body but with saline removal, most of the ink is lifted up through the surface of the skin. Please keep in mind that results will vary from client to client, dependent on the saturation of the tattoo, skin type, and pigments used.
HOW LONG IS A TATTOO REMOVAL SESSION?
For both laser and saline tattoo removal services, each session will take 15 minutes.
HOW DO I DETERMINE WHICH TREATMENT IS BEST FOR ME?
Before booking your tattoo removal service, please text us a selfie (full face WITHOUT makeup) to (248) 924-5450 for our artist to review (include your full name and service type). A LoAnn Brow Art Studio staff member will contact you about next steps.
HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?
Our state-of-the-art laser machine is very effective and clients may only need one or two total sessions. Saline tattoo removal treatments may require multiple sessions to lighten or remove your eyebrow tattoo, but is a much less invasive procedure and gentler on the skin. The total number of sessions depends on a number of factors, including the saturation of the tattoo, skin type, and type of pigments used.
